Good evening, Santa Clause! My name is Andriy, and I live in Mariivka with my sister and her family. I try to spend all my free time helping my family! I am in the 7th grade and I am 13 years old. I love my family so much! I’ve tried to be on my best behavior, and get good grades, and I did all my choirs throughout the year. I hope I deserve to get a present from you. I have a lot of wishes: THE BIGGEST ONE is peace for my homeland – Ukraine! I also want my family to be happy and healthy. I love playing soccer so much! This is my hobby! For the last 5 years, I’ve had diabetes. Every day I need to get injections with insulin, so I can feel better and my stomach can process food. I need to keep an active style of living to lower the sugar level in my blood and be healthy. That’s why I love so much PE classes and playing soccer. I dream of becoming a famous soccer player and glorifying my country! I really would like to get from you as a present a new soccer uniform or comfortable shoes to play soccer.. or a new soccer ball. Our community has seen so many missiles and destruction. But I am holding on! I try not to show that I am scared so my grandmother doesn’t worry. I wish this terrible war ended and we could live again in our peaceful Ukraine. However, despite these hard times, our lives go on. We still believe that we could have a normal Christmas, New Years Eve and other holidays. As a girls, I want to look nice, so for my present I am asking you to bring me some nice clothes, shoes. Everything was good until the war started. My grandmother, my sister, and I were forced to flee our house and leave our favorite sport behind.
