S Danilo, 14 y.o.
Hello, my name is Danylo Shulezhko. I am 14 years old, and I am displaced from the city of Orikhiv near Zaporizhzhia. I live with a foster family — with a mom and dad, as well as two sisters and a brother.
I really love doing sports and I am a regional champion in MMA. That’s why I would like to ask Santa for a phone, and also for iPods headphones so it would be convenient to use them while traveling.

Dear Santa!
My name is Vladyslava, I am 8 years old and I live in the city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. I am really looking forward to your holiday. Life here is very difficult right now, and I dream of peace. My wish is that everyone will be healthy. Most of all, I ask you for health for my dad. He was at war and was badly wounded, and now it is very hard for him.
This whole year I have been well-behaved and helped my mom. I study well and also help my mom take care of my little sister, whom I love very much. My sister dreams of having a big scooter. If possible, I would like to ask for headphones for myself.
It would make me very happy if you could make my wishes come true. Thank you for your care. I will be waiting for your visit.
With respect,
Vladyslava Mykhailyk

S Victoria , 13 y.o.
Dear Santa,
My name is Viktoria Shpamko, I am 13 years old. I was born in the village of Oleksandrivka, Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region. My home was very beautiful, surrounded by amazing nature, and near the Azov Sea. But now my home has been taken by Russian terrorists. My grandparents stayed there, as well as my beloved dog Ponchik — I miss him very much.
At the moment, I live in Zaporizhzhia with my mom, dad, and older brother. My greatest dream is for the war to end so I can return home and hug my family again.
Now I want to speak in English. I’ve already told you about my dream, but my wish is for wireless headphones and black Adidas original Samba XLG sneakers, size 23 CM. I am very grateful to you for reading my letter and paying attention to it.
With love

My name is Diana, I am in the 8th grade and live in the city of Zaporizhzhia with my mom and my older sister Liza. Throughout the year I have been a well-behaved girl — I helped my mom clean the house and studied hard.
I know you are a kind magician, so first of all, I want to ask you for peace in Ukraine. I also dream that all my family will be healthy and never get sick.
For the holiday, I would love to receive from you a Poopsie Sparkly Critters toy and a Lego set. I would be very grateful for such gifts.
Santa, I wish you to live happily in a peaceful country.
With love,
Diana

Letter 56
Oryn, 6 y.o.
Dear Santa,
My name is Arina (though in my family they lovingly call me Arisha), and I am 6 years old. My sister is helping me write this letter.
I am originally from Mariupol, but I was forced to flee because of the war. Sadly, the fate of my biological parents is unknown. Living in Mariupol after the war began affected me so much that even after leaving, I often woke up from nightmares. On August 19, 2022, we met for the first time, when it was certain that I would become part of my new family — and since then, I have been slowly adapting to a new life after everything I had gone through before.
I am a very active and open girl. In our family, we often joke that one day I will become either a singer or an actress, especially since I love to sing almost 24/7. At the same time, despite my creative nature, I really enjoy math and can already easily add and subtract three-digit numbers in my head.
As for my wish — I really love playing with Lego, and that’s the gift I asked to be written down for me. From myself, I can add that I never seem to have enough Lego pieces for my games, because they run out so quickly when I’m building.
Thank you, Santa, for making children’s dreams come true and giving hope.
With love,
Arina (and her family)

Letter 58
Maxim, 12 y.o.
My name is Maksym, I am 12 years old. I live in Ukraine, in the Zaporizhzhia region, in the village of Lezhyne. Because of the war, I study online. Now I am in the 7th grade. I dream that one day I will definitely be able to go to school together with my friends again.
In my drawing, I showed how Ukraine will be rebuilt after the war. I hope this time will come quickly, and that my school in my village — which was destroyed by rockets in 2022 — will also be rebuilt.
I love active recreation: I swim, and I really enjoy riding my bicycle. I also love traveling with my family around Ukraine during school holidays. I dream of traveling abroad too.
One of my hobbies is reading books. Right now, I am reading a series of books about the lives of famous people around the world. My biggest wish from Santa is to get an e-reader, so that I can download electronic versions of books. It would be so convenient for both traveling and studying!
But above all, my greatest dream is the Victory of Ukraine and the end of the war!
With hope,
Maksym, 12 years old

Letter 59
Danylo , 9 y.o.
Good day!
My name is Danilo, I am 9 years old, and I am from the Zaporizhzhia region. I am an orphan.
This summer I was at a camp, and there we were asked to sing the song “Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow.” At first, I was very afraid, because I had never sung before and thought that everyone would laugh at me. But the other children supported me, and even though it didn’t turn out very well, I was happy that I dared to try.
I really enjoyed singing, and now I dream of learning music. Most of all, I want to play the ukulele. It’s a small guitar. I imagine myself playing and singing together with my friends. That’s why I’m asking you, if possible, please gift me a ukulele. For me, this would be a big step toward my dream.
Thank you for your kindness and for believing in children like me.
With respect,
Danilo, 9 years old
Do you want me to make this version sound shorter and simpler (like a child’s Santa letter), or keep this heartfelt detailed story style?
